Lala Deen Dayal was a famous Indian photographer, his career started as a commission photographer. He worked as the court photographer of Asif Jah VI, Mehboob Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad. Furthermore, in 1885, he was appointed as the photographer to the Viceroy of India. Recognizing his talent and contribution, Queen Victoria granted him a Royal Warrant in 1897. He was born in 1844 in Uttar Pradesh, India. He received his technical education from Thomson College of Civil Engineering, Roorkee in 1866.
