It depicts Dandi March and the work of Mahatma Gandhi. Dandi March was started on 12th March 1930. Mahatma Gandhi started the march with 78 volunteers from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi on the Gujrat Coast. All volunteers marched through dusty- muddy tracks and knee-deep waters. This march was concluded in 25 days on 6th April 1930. Mahatma Gandhi picked up a small amount of natural salt, thereby giving the indication to hundreds of thousands of people to similarly resist the law since the British applied a monopoly rule on the making and selling of salt. This was the beginning of the public disobedience movement.
