10-10-1985: Border Roads Miniature Sheet

Border Road Miniature Sheet was released on 10^th October 1985. It was issued by the Department of India Post on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of the Border Road Organisation. It was published to mark the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the Border Roads Organisation. It was printed by Security Printing Press, Nashik. The size of stamp is 28 x 41 mm. The design of the Stamp is based on a Triangular odd Shape, in which the Mountain Road image is embedded with the name of Border Roads Organisation. It depicts the artificial construction of a mountain road. Border Roads Organisation constructs and maintains the road system of Indian border areas and the road network of friendly neighboring countries. This contains infrastructure mentation in 19 states and three union regions (including Andaman and Nicobar Islands) and neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka. This organization also provides services for maintaining infrastructure including operations such as snow clearance on the road.
