12-09-2017: 25th Anniversary of India – Belarus Relationship MINIATURE SHEET

India’s relations with Belarus have been traditionally warm and friendly. India was one of the first countries to recognize Belarus as independent country in 1991.Formal diplomatic relations were established and the Indian diplomatic mission was opened in Minsk in 1992 followed by Belarus in 1998 in New Delhi. Belarus opened its Honorary Consulate in Kolkata in December 2001. Bilateral relations between India and Belarus are marked by Board understanding on issues of mutual interest. Both countries have exchanged high level visits at regular intervals. Belarusian President visited India in 1997 and 2007.
