The sangai deer is a subspecies of the brow-antlered deer that is available only in Manipur. The deer is distinctive for its unique bow-shaped antlers, and its elegant movement, which is best described as a dance. Systematic efforts succeeded in arresting the decline in the population of sangai. Today Keibul Lamjao National Park has more than 150 sangai compared to 14 counted in 1974. The slow loris is a round-headed lemur found in Tripura and parts of northeastern India. It has brown circles around its eyes. In the evening they wake up in search of food. Wild Guava is a rare plant found only in Tripura. It is smaller in size than guava and sour in taste and its plant is like a small bush.
