Surendranath Jauhar continued to actively participate in the Civil Disobedience Movement and went underground in 1942 to contribute to the Quit India Movement. During the Quit India Movement, he collaborated with prominent figures such as Aruna Asaf Ali and Jugal Kishore Khanna. On September 17, 1942, he was once again arrested due to his active participation in the movement. Despite the magistrate’s order to shoot him, Surendranath Jauhar managed to escape.
