Mahatma Gandhi graduated from high school in Ahmedabad in November 1887. The next year, he took admission to Samaldas College in Bhavnagar State, then he took a single degree-ranting institution of higher education in the region. However, he dropped out and was returned to his family in Porbandar. Mahatma Gandhi was intense to study Law in London. After much encouragement, his mother finally let him go. In 1888 Mahatma Gandhi navigated to England and joined University College, London (UCL) which was a constituent college of the University of London.

Mahatma Gandhi finished his law in England and returned to India in 1893. In India, Mahatma Gandhi started his job as a lawyer. He supported the poor and truthful people. Mahatma Gandhi went to South Africa due to the cases of Merchant Seth Abdula. In South Africa, he fought against several problems of the Indian people. Mahatma Gandhi returned to India from South Africa in 1915. In India Mahatma Gandhi become famous as ‘Father of the nation’ due to his contribution to the Indian freedom fight.
