Description
50th Anniversary of ICRISAT was completed on 5th February 2022. This organization was established on 28 March 1972, with the signing of a manifesto between the Ford Foundation and the Government of India. ICRISAT stands for The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics. The aims of the establishment of ICRISAT are prosperity, food security and resilient drylands in Asia and Africa. It performs agricultural research for improvement in the drylands of Asia and Africa.
