09-01-2023: Surakshit Jayen Prashikshit Jayen Indian Stamp

On 9^th January 2023, India’s Ministry of External Affairs launched the Surakshit Jayen Prashikshit Jayen Indian stamp through the India Post Office. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated by the Government of India on 9th January every second year. On this day Mahatma Gandhi returned from South Africa. This day has been started since 2003. The Surakshit Jayen Prashikshit Jayen campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of using safe and legal channels while traveling for employment abroad, so as to integrate directly into the diaspora as a well-informed, competent and Stay Safe, and Professional Abroad. With the aim of promoting safe and lawful overseas career prospects along with emigration, The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has launched the Surakshit Jayen Prashikshit Jayen – Go Safe, Go Trained’ campaign to raise awareness and facilitate Safe and legal migration.
