The full name of Dattopant Thengadi was Dattatreya Bapurao Thengadi but he was popular by the name of Dattopant. His father was a popular advocate. He completed his primary education in Arvi Nagar and he completed his higher education in Nagpur. He also completed The LLB degree,he worked as an advocate as well as pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and provide social service for lifetime.

Description
Dattopant Thengadi was a Great Indian Social Service provider. He was working as a trade union leader. He established the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch. He also provided an important role in the establishment of the Environment Forum, Pragya Bharti, All India Advocates Council, Sahkar Bharti and All India Consumer Panchyat. He also worked as a Member of Parliament ( Rajya Sabha). Indian Government awarded Padma Bhushan to Dettopant Thengadi for his social work but he did not accept it.
