Ahimsa Parmo Dharma was appalled through Non-cooperation Movement by Mahatma Gandhi for the independence of India, in which the Indian workers rejected to work but did not make any violence to protest. Further, Indian people also refused to work in British organizations. Lawyers, clerks, doctors, factory workers, merchants etc rejected to work and students refused against studying in the British colleges and schools. This movement was encouraged by burning foreign cloth and other foreign goods. This movement survived only a short time, but it shocked the British by the power of nov-violent Satyagraha.
