Magazine Gate is the main gate that leads to the magazine building which was also known as Akbar’s Palace that was built by himself in A.D. 1570. When Akbar visited Dargah of Khwaja Saheb then he used to stay here during his visit. Lately, this gate was taken over by the British from Marathas in A.D. 1818 and was used for military equipment. Apparently, this building was known as the Magazine building. This type of luxurious building was also used as the embassy Building for Sir Thomas Roe, who has given the credentials to Jahangir on 10th January, A.D 1616.
