19-10-2019: Kote Gate, Bikaner A Indian stamp on Historical Gates of Indian Forts and Monuments

Way back, in the medieval period, Bikaner city was also surrounded by protecting walls, Like other emperors who ruled cities of Rajasthan. Amongst all the Kote Gate is the unique entrance gate to the old Bikaner city. It was built during the regime of King Ganga Singh,  and the word Kote Gate is derived from the word ‘Parkota’ which means the wall of city for its protection. Currently, this gate is busy with the main shopping area towards Bikaner all around it.
