50 Years of Arunachal Pradesh was completed on 20th, February 2022. Arunachal Pradesh was declared Union Territory on 20th January 1972. After 15 years, they got full statehood on 20 February 1987. After that, it became a fast developing state of 26 districts. Each district has its unique culture and tradition. Arunachal Pradesh is now developing as an adventure tourism destination with various opportunities in white river rafting, paragliding, trekking, biking destination, wild and bird watching activities etc.

50 Years of Arunachal Pradesh was celebrated on 20 February 2022. To mark the celebration of 50 years of the state’s identity as Arunachal Pradesh, they organized a one-month-long festival. The celebration started on 20 January with the opening ceremony at Ziro. Ziro was the naming place of Arunachal Pradesh. On 20 February 2022, Itanagar, ended the 50 years of Arunachal Pradesh and started the 36th Statehood Day celebration. At this event, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh released “50 Years of Arunachal Pradesh” postage stamp.
