Rao Birender Singh was an Indian politician. He served the citizens of Haryana as the Chief Minister of the state of Haryana, as well as worked as a Union Minister. In 1967, Rao Birender Singh was the first male Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly and the second Speaker of the state. The Indian Postal Department issued Rao Birendra Singh an Indian stamp in recognition of his struggle and courage. Rao Birender Singh was born on 20th February 1921 in a Yadavvanshi family in Punjab province. Rao Birender Singh did his studies at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. After completing his studies, he joined the Indian Army as a captain.
