Description
50 Years of full Statehood of Tripura was completed by Tripura on 21st January 2022. Tripura was permitted the status of a ‘C’ category state by the Government of India on 26 January 1950 and it was accepted as a Union Territory on November 1, 1956. With continued efforts and struggle of all social workers, Tripura also obtained full statehood with Meghalaya and Manipur on 21 January 1972, as per the North-East Reorganisation Act, 1971.
