Raja Ram Mohan Roy is best known for abolishing child marriage and especially sati. He founded the Brahmo Samaj in 1928. On 22nd May 1772, was born in Radhanagar village of Hooghly district of West Bengal. He is also popularly known as the founder of the Bengal Renaissance.
