The National Police Memorial (NPM) has been established at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi as homage to the martyrdom of policemen in the performance of their duty. The “Wall of Valour” is engraved with the names of police martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and reminds of their valour and glory. The NPM is a dynamic memorial, capable of additions to cater to the fact that policemen lay down their lives every year, whether on the country’s borders, while fighting terrorism and militancy, while fighting crime and maintaining order, while protecting national asserts or in combating disasters and emergencies.
