In 1857, the first war of Independence armed resistance against the British was witnessed in many parts of the country. The incident of resistance was mostly local, it revealed the discontent against the foreign rulers. The Kuka movement was the most important phase, aimed at overthrowing British rule. Now, this movement had turned against the British. The purpose of which became against the evils spread in the society as well as against the British policies. This organization took a very active form to drive out the British.
