In 1845, Don John Bosco inaugurated a night school for boys in Valdocco, now a part of the Municipality of Turin, Italy. Despite Don Bosco’s death in 1888, the Society continued to grow. In 1892, the Salesians entered Mexico and established their initial institution there.
