27-12-2023: 125 Years of Ramakrishna Mission India Stamp


Ramakrishna Mission was founded in 1897 by Swami Vivekananda, a prominent figure of modern India, with the aim of contributing to the comprehensive development of the nation. Swami Vivekananda was born on 12th January 1863 in Kolkata in a prosperous family. His education at the University of Calcutta provided him with extensive knowledge, especially in Western philosophy and history. In 1881, Vivekananda met his spiritual guru Sri Ramakrishna at the Kali Temple in Dakshineswar. Sri Ramakrishna not only removed the doubts from Vivekananda’s mind but also ensured his devotion through true and selfless love.
