Frank Anthony was a prominent leader of the Anglo-Indian and Christian communities in India. He was born on 25 September 1908 in Jabalpur. Frank Anthony was also a member of the Indian Constituent Assembly which helped draft the Constitution of India. Frank Anthony served as a member of the Central Legislative Assembly from 1942 to 1946. Later, he represented the Anglo-Indian community in the Constituent Assembly of India from 1946 to 1950. He also served as the temporary Deputy Speaker of the Constituent Assembly. In honor of his contributions, the India Post Department released the Frank Anthony India Stamp.
