St. Joseph’s Boys High School Bangalore, which was formerly St. Joseph’s European High School, is a private secondary school located in Bangalore, India. It was established in 1858 by French missionaries. The school only caters to boys from nursery to class X. Christopher Rego detailed this school’s history in the book “Faith and Toil. Admission was increased in the 1950s and 1960s to include all students after India’s independence. The school buildings are located in the centre of the city. Organizers provided dormitory space. The cricket team of this school trains at the Centenary Ground near Mayo Hall. The school pays great attention to sports and has been organizing annual hockey tournaments for ICSE schools in Bangalore for a long time.

Description
J.M. Vissac shifted the school to a larger campus in the centre of the city cantonment. And purchased the Rocklands property and designed the buildings in 1894. By 1913, the school had grown to 239 boarders and 183-days, and two new blocks were added with a huge playground called New Fields. In 1910, the school abandoned the old matriculation system and adopted the high school examination, and the name St. Joseph’s European High School was adopted at this time. This university abolished the FA and replaced it with the Intermediate Arts Examination. The school was accredited by the University of Cambridge.
