Padampat Singhania was a distinguished Indian industrialist and a notable member of the Indian Constituent Assembly. He was born on 12th February 1904 in Kanpur, India. His contribution to industry and society was widely recognized, leading to his knighthood in the 1943 New Year Honors list. After India’s independence in 1947, Padampat Singhania went into public service as a member of the Indian Constituent Assembly. He played an important role in shaping the basic documents of the Indian Constitution.
