Bhaskar Vishwananth Gokhale worked as the head physician of Tarachand Ramnath Hospital in Pune and Head Teacher of Tilak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya for over 20 years. In 1946, He was promoted to the Principal of Tilak Ayurveda Vidyalaya. In 1956, He was appointed as the first principal of the postgraduate institute at Jamnagar. In 1960, He was appointed as President of the State Board and Chairman of the State Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicine by the Maharashtra government. He wrote three books about Ayurveda by the name of Chikitsapradeep, Dosha Dhatu Mala Vidnyana and Vikruti Vidnyana.

Description
Bhaskar Vishwananth Gokhale was an expert ayurvedic teacher, famous Ayurveda physician, freedom fighter, philosopher and sighted visionary of India. He highlighted the requirement for Post-Graduation education and research in Ayurveda. He was also one of the initial votaries of the integrative Health system. His thoughts to improve the strength of regularly used drugs are common as Ekaushadhi Prayoga. His training continues to work for generations of Ayurveda experts even after several periods of retirement.
