Bhaskar Vishwananth Gokhale worked as the head physician of Tarachand Ramnath Hospital in Pune and Head Teacher of Tilak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya for over 20 years. In 1946, He was promoted to the Principal of Tilak Ayurveda Vidyalaya. In 1956, He was appointed as the first principal of the postgraduate institute at Jamnagar. In 1960, He was appointed as President of the State Board and Chairman of the State Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicine by the Maharashtra government. He wrote three books about Ayurveda by the name of Chikitsapradeep, Dosha Dhatu Mala Vidnyana and Vikruti Vidnyana.
