Mohammad Abdul Aziz Lakhnawi was born on 24th September 1854 in Lucknow, India. He was a well-known physician and a wonderful teacher. He founded a Medical school in Lucknow in 1902, by the name of Takmil al –Tibb. The meaning of Takmil al Tibb was the completion of the education in Medicine. His reputation was widespread that students and physicians used to come to him for study from different parts of India and also from Central Asian countries and Afghanistan. Takmil al –Tibb is now a reputed college in Lucknow and maintained by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Mohammad Abdul Aziz Lakhnawi formed the All India Ayurvedic and Unani Tibb Conference to protect the traditional methods of medicine in 1910. British India requested him to serve on the panel of the group for Regulation of Medical Formulations. He did not take fees for visiting patients. Shahjahan Begum of Bhopal and son of Sayajirao Gaekwad III of Baroda were his royal patient. In 1910, after retraining from Hajj, he fell ill and passed away.
